Despite thousand of Europeans and non-Muslims living the United Arab Emirates’ the official religion there is Islam. Ramadan changes the outlook of UAE to a greater extent. It makes the people there more concerned and socially oriented. The affections between social group increases because Islamic gatherings are held more frequently during this blessed month of Ramadan. Muslim enjoys breaking fast together and catches up some time together to remember Allah in the congregation. There are large tents, near the mosques, on the main roads or local streets where affluent Muslim gathers to distribute free meals (iftar) to those who could not afford.

And a name of few random countries visitors checking currently include; Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.

Although now similar Ramadan activities are quite popular among the majority of the Muslim countries but in UAE specifically this ritual is carried out regularly with a great passion for helping the poor ones of the society. Ramazan has also a great influence on the working patterns of the workers. The working hours gets reduced by 2 hours during Ramadan month, which allows the workers to relax and take a nap during the day time when temperature is expected to be unusually high.

In Ramadan month, fasting is not the only commandment for this holy month of Islam. In addition to not taking food or drink and avoiding sexual relations during the hours of sunshine, Muslims are also asked to maintain a pure morality, so they should not talk about others behind their backs or say bad words, for example.

Also this month is considered the community, and Muslims are asked to help their neighbors, especially those most in need, and to postpone everything that is not absolutely necessary to spend more time with family. During Ramadan, people should be more generous, friendly, friendly and helpful to others.

Of course, prayer, another of the pillars of Islam, is essential on this date, in which mosques recite the entire Koran.

Ramadan Schedule and Countries Where Sun Doesn't Set?

The routine during the days of fasting should be practically the same as that of the rest of the year, hence the sacrifice with which Muslims must comply.

But there are certain differences: since Muslims can only eat when the sun has not risen, Muslims often rise before dawn to have breakfast, because they will not eat anything until the night. Likewise, fasting is broken with sunset and the call to prayer, and it is customary to take a small 'snack' before dinner.

Ramadan has two important dates: the night of the decree (Lailat el Qadr , which recalls the date on which Muhammad received the revelation of the Koran) and Eid al Fitr, the day on which the Ramadan month ends and a great feast is celebrated.

Muslims in Alaska, northern Canada or Finland, for example, have a problem when it comes to practice fasting during Ramadan: because the sun hardly gets set for few hours or none at all.

In this regard, the Islamic Center of Northern Norway, understanding that this year there would be 23 hours of sunshine each day, has given Muslims permission to follow the sun's schedule of Mecca. In the case of Alaska, Muslims can follow the Ramadan fasting schedule of other parts of the United States during these dates.

Why Ramadan Month Is Celebrated?

Ramadan coincides with the date on which the Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation of the Koran, the holy book of Muslims which, among many other things, sets the boundaries in the relations between individuals and between the individual and the community.

During Ramadan, Muslims must fulfill the fast or 'sawn', one of the five pillars of Islam, considered as a method of self-purification by which they learn to have strength and patience and, therefore, to know each other, themselves.

In this way, this sacred month has, besides a religious function, a sanitary (purifies the body), mental (strengthens the will) and moral (to make understand what they suffer the people deprived of food), according to explain from the Union of Islamic Communities.

Why Ramadan Dates Change Each Year?

Muslims have their own calendar: the lunar cycle, whose days do not coincide from year to year. Ramadan is always the ninth month of the lunar calendar , beginning with the appearance of the new moon and ending with the next new moon.

This year has begun this June 6, so it is this Monday when Muslims start the fast, and will end on July 6. Ramadan begins about 11 days before each year , which does not always coincide with summer in the West: for example, in 2020 it will be between April and May, so that the fasting effort will be less as there are more hours of darkness.

How Long is Ramadan Month?

Based on lunar cycles, the time of Ramadan is not exactly the same every year, although it usually lasts for about 29 or 30 days.

IS IT MANDATORY TO FOLLOW RAMADAN?

Yes, Ramadan is obligatory for every healthy Muslim from the moment he reaches puberty. There are, however, certain exceptions, which we explain in the next question.

Ramadan Month: A Beautiful Combination of Prayers, Fasting and Family Time

The month of Ramadan, besides fulfilling a religious function, has a sanitary (purify the body), mental (strengthen the will) and moral (to make understand what they suffer the people deprived of food) and serves to strengthen the family and social ties.

Thus, after the five sentences, the follower of the Islamic faith postpones everything that is not absolutely necessary to spend as many family as possible in the family. "Mothers are struggling to make the best of their gastronomic repertoire, children talk to parents at sunrise and parents tell stories about their ancestors," Tatary explains.

In addition to the beginning, Ramadan has two other important dates: The Night of the Decree (Lailat el Qadr) and Aid el Fitr, which is the day on which the fast ends.

The night of the decree Lailat ul Qadr recalls the night on which the Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation of the Koran, the holy book of Muslims. During this celebration, which takes place during the last ten days of the month, Muslims pray and read the Koran from dawn to dusk.

On the other hand, Eid ul Fitr, the feast of the end of the Fast, has two peak moments: the prayer of breaking the fast and the delivery of alms in species, usually food, to needy people (Zakat al Fitr).

On that day, Muslims also give gifts to the children, dress them in new clothes and with it they go to the mosque for the first morning prayer. Upon leaving the prayer, the whole family goes to the cemetery to remember their deceased relatives and in the afternoon visit their relatives and friends.

1. Win Taqwa - Important Lesson of Ramadan Month

Allah (swt) said: "The month of Ramadan was in which the Qur'an was revealed, a guide for mankind and clear evidence for guiding the criterion between right and wrong. So any of you who see the The month of Ramadan, he must fast that month. " (Al-Baqara 2: 185)

The Messenger of Allah said:

" Islam is based on five pillars: to testify that no one has the right to be worshiped except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, perform the Salat, give the Zakat, perform Hayy, and fast in Ramadan."

He (sas) said:

"For you have come Ramadan, a blessed month in which Allah has made it obligatory to fast." During it the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained. There is one night (Lailatul-Qadr ) What is better than a thousand months. He who deprives himself has really deprived himself of his pleasant things. "

Of the many important lessons that can be learned from fasting, we highlight:

1. Win Taqwa

Fasting has been legislated so that we can win taqwa, as Allah (swt) said: "O thou that believe! Fasting is a duty for you, as it was duty for those before you in such a way that you can achieve the Taqwaa. " (Al-Baqarah 2: 183)

Talq ibn Habib (d. 100H) (raa) said:

"When the fitnah (trial and tribulation) appears then excuse it with t aqwa." When asked for was the taqwa, he replied: " Taqwa is to act in obedience to Allah, follow the light (ie the magnet,) of Allah, trust in the mercy of Allah. Taqwa is leaving acts Of disobedience to Allah, out of respect for Allah.

This is one of the best definitions of taqwa. For each action there must be a starting point and a goal. And an action will not be considered as an act of obedience, or closeness to Allah, unless it emanates from the pure Imam (abandon himself to Allah). Therefore it is the pure Imam, and not habits, desires, nor the pursuit of praise or fame, which should initiate action. And the goal of action should be to win the reward of Allah and seek His pleasure. "Fasting is a means to achieve taqwa, as it helps to prevent many faults that one is prone. Because of this, the Prophet ( Sas) Said."

2. Seek the Proximity to Allah: Important Lessons of Ramadan Month

The Prophet (sas) said:

"Allah said," Anyone who shows enmity to a friend of mine will enter into war with him. "My servant brings nothing nearer to me, nothing more appreciated by me than the obligations I have laid upon him. Actions he has done by his will so that I would love him more."
The Prophet (sas) said:

"Whosoever shall come in the month of Ramadan, and let him not have his sins forgiven, and so enter into the fire, then Allah may keep him away."

So to approach Allah (swt) in this blessed month, can be achieved by fulfilling the obligatory duties; And also reciting the Koran and reflecting on its meaning, increasing goodness and giving charity, making the du'a (Invocation) to Allah, attending the Salat tarawih, seeking Lailatul-Qadr (Night of Power and Destiny), one more night Good that a thousand months, attending the meetings where knowledge is transmitted, and striving in those actions that will make the heart get closer to its Lord and thus gain His forgiveness. Our level of effort in this blessed month must be greater than our effort to worship Allah in any other month, Because of the excellence and rewards that Allah has put into it. Another great means of approaching Allah in this month is doing I`tikaaf (isolation in the mosque to surrender to Allah) for anyone who has the possibility.

Imam ibn al-Qayyim (d. 751H) (raa) said:

"Allah also prescribed I`tikaaf for them, the aim being that the heart should totally turn to Allah and concentrate on Him alone, and break the worries towards the rest of the creation. Therefore, the heart is only filled with Allah (Swt), so loving it, remembering it, and turning to Him takes the place of all the worries and anxieties of the heart. As a reward all this prepares us to be at peace with Allah (swt) on the day when the loneliness of the Tomb, when there will be no one else to comfort or solace except Him. So this is the greatest goal of I`tikaaf.

5. Become aware of the Unity of Muslims: Important Lessons of Ramadan Month

The Prophet (sas) said:

"They fast when all fast, break their fast when others break it, and sacrifice the day when they sacrifice others."

The Imam at-Tirmidhi (d. 275H) (raa) said:

"Some of the People of Knowledge explained this hadeeth saying: Its meaning is to fast and to break fast along with your Yama'a and most people."

Thus, in this blessed month we can realize a feeling of unity and being one Umma due to our fasting and breaking our fast collectively. We also feel a greater awareness of the general state of Muslims and the hardships they endure, because: "During fasting, one perceives and experiences what his needy and hungry brothers and sisters feel, as is the case today for many Muslims in Africa." In fact, the unity of Muslims and help each other is one of the great principles on which Islam is based, as Allah (swt) said: "And you cling to the covenant of Allah all together and without dividing." (Aal `Imraan 3: 103). Allah (swt) also said: "

Shaysh-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (d.728H) (raa) said: "The well-being of people will not be complete neither in this world nor in the future without the ultimate '(collectivity), without ta'awun (mutual cooperation ), And without tanassur (mutual aid), mutual cooperation to secure benefits, and mutual help to keep us from harm. This is why it is said that man is social and civil by nature.

Thus we see how Islam puts great emphasis on gathering hearts and encouraging the ultimate (the collectivity). This is not only reflected in the month of Ramadan, but also in all other practices of Islam. For example, the Prophet himself tells us that the ideal is to perform the five daily Salats in congregation, and that twenty-seven times the benefits of doing it individually are obtained. Likewise, this collective spirit is demonstrated in the act of Hajj (the Pilgrimage). Even in the learning of knowledge and study, blessings have been placed in doing so collectively, even in our daily actions such as eating, Islam teaches us collectivity. So when some of the Companions of the Prophet (s) said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, we eat but we are not satisfied," he replied: "Do you eat individually?" They answered: Yes! So he said, "Eat together and mention the name of Allah. There will be blessings then for you."

In fact, even on the label when sitting the spirit of collectivity is shown. So one day the Prophet (sas) found that the Companions were sitting in separate circles, so he said to them, "Why do I see you sitting seperated?"

Thus, Ramadan is a time to increase our sense of unity and brotherhood, and our commitment to Allah and His Din. And there is no doubt that this sense of unity necessitates that: "We work together as Islam requires, as sincere brethren, without intolerance or sectarianism, to understand that what is of benefit to the Islamic Umma is beneficial to the whole Earth."

We must examine ourselves during Ramadan and we must ask ourselves: What is my role, and each one of us has a role, in helping this wonderful Umma regain her honor, and is given back her unity and strength, and the victory she Have you been promised? Likewise, we must reflect on our character and actions and ask ourselves: Are they helping the process of unity and brotherhood, or are they a harm and a hindrance to it?

So we ask Allah to grant us the ability to change for the better, during this blessed month, lest we be of those who are deprived of His Rahma and goodness. In fact He is the One who Hears and He is the Only one who responds.

4. Cultivate Good Manners: Important Lessons of Ramadan Month

The Prophet (sas) said:

"Whoever does not forsake falsehood in discourse and action, then Allah the Almighty does not need him to stop eating and drinking."

Also he said:

"To fast is not to abstain merely from eating and drinking, but rather to abstain from ignorant and indecent speech." So if anyone abuses or behaves ignorantly with you, then say: I am fasting, I am fasting. "

These stories point to the importance of sincerity and good manners. Thus, this blessed month not only teaches us to abstain from food and drink, but also to refrain from such statements and actions that may cause harm to people and violate their rights, because the Messenger ( sas) said in describing the true Mu'min : "A Muslim is one of whom other Muslims are sure of his tongue and his hand." So it is in us as individuals, to examine the limitations in our character, and to seek methods to model it better, modeled on the character of the last of the Prophets, Mohammad (sas) I am a guarantor of an abode in the skirts of Paradise for anyone who leaves the discussion, even when it is in his right; And a house in the center of Paradise for all who forsake falsehood, even when speaking in jest; And a house in the highest part of Paradise for which he makes good his character. Thus, by fleeing from oppression, immodesty, hatred overcoming slander, slander, and other types of falsehood, we can save ourselves from seeing the benefits of our fasting nullified. As the Prophet said: "It may be that a person receives nothing of his fast, except hunger and thirst." I am a guarantor of an abode in the skirts of Paradise for anyone who leaves the discussion, even when it is in his right; And a house in the center of Paradise for all who forsake falsehood, even when speaking in jest; And a house in the highest part of Paradise for which he makes good his character. Thus, by fleeing from oppression, immodesty, hatred overcoming slander, slander, and other types of falsehood, we can save ourselves from seeing the benefits of our fasting nullified. As the Prophet said: "It may be that a person receives nothing of his fast, except hunger and thirst." Even when talking in jest; And a house in the highest part of Paradise for which he makes good his character. Thus, by fleeing from oppression, immodesty, hatred overcoming slander, slander, and other types of falsehood, we can save ourselves from seeing the benefits of our fasting nullified. As the Prophet said: "It may be that a person receives nothing of his fast, except hunger and thirst."

3. Acquire Patience: Important Lessons of Ramadan Month

Imam Ahmed (d.241H) (raa) said:

"Allah has mentioned sabr (patience) more than ninety times in His Book."

The Prophet (sas) said:

"The month of patience, and the three days of every month, is a time of fasting"

Ibn 'Abdul-Barr (d.464H) (raa) said:

"What is meant by the month of patience is the Ramadan month, so fasting is called patience because it restrains the soul from desires to drink, to eat and from sexual desire."

Fasting is thus a means of learning self-control and patience. With patience we can strengthen our resolve to give ourselves only to Allah, with sincerity, and also to protect ourselves from the ups and downs of life. Thus, for example with patience we can perform our Salat quietly and correctly, without being rushed. With patience we can restrain our souls in the face of greed and stinginess and thus give part of our surplus wealth in Zakat. With patience we can dominate our temperament, and thus withstand the trials and hardships of Hajj. Equally, with patience we can undertake our RIAD (effort). Allah (swt) said: O Prophet!

Thus, without knowledge and patience, nothing remains, except jealousy and unbridled emotions, shouts and slogans without substance, discourses that do not strengthen, but weaken, and actions that do not build, but destroy. Therefore, during this month we must strive to develop a firm resolution to perform acts of nobility, and to adorn ourselves with patience, having the certainty, according to our Messenger ( sas) that: "And know that victory comes with patience, relief With affliction, and respite with the penalty."

The mysteries of the fasting month of Ramadan

There are three degrees of fasting:

1. The fast of the ordinary person
2. Fasting the chosen
3. Fasting the elect

The fast of the ordinary person

It is described as previously discussed details of Ramadan consists of abstinence from food, from sex, from making noise, discuss, etc ...

In addition to fara'id , the obligations of fasting, the seeker will advance in his practice by observing the traditions (Sunnah) of the Holy Prophet, on whom be peace.

Fasting of the Chosen

Fasting of the Chosen is to keep the ears, eyes, tongue, hands, feet together with all the senses free from sin.

This virtuous people free from sin in six ways:

Refraining from looking at anything that is blameworthy or disapproved.

Jabir, on the authority of Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

1. "There are five things that break the fast, lying, backbiting, lying, perjury, greed and lustful eyes."
2. Keeping the tongue free from declamation and dall'inveire, from lying, backbiting of others, from the storytelling, the obscenities, the insulting speech, the quarrel and hypocrisy. Rather, you should try to keep themselves busy in the remembrance and glorification of Allah, as well as in the recitation of the Holy Quran - this is the fasting of the tongue.

3. Closing his ears to all that is reprehensible. The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, for example, he said:

"They who speaks evil behind the others and those who listen to him are partners in sin."

5 QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD NOT ASK A MUSLIM DURING RAMADAN

$

It's time for "ask-a-Muslim-stupid-things-month" - commonly known as Ramadan.

Muslims in Sweden may, in addition to the remaining 11 months of the year, of discrimination, intimidation, hatred and media demonization, even act frågelåda for all that non-Muslims have the heart during Ramadan. Here is a list of the five dumbest questions we receive.

1. How can Ramadan be something to look forward to? You're not supposed to eat? Why fast ye?
The answer to this and similar questions are best answered with: even more questions! Why celebrate Christmas? Is not it expensive? Unhealthy for both animals and nature? The reasons that Muslims celebrating a religious holiday are very similar to those found to celebrate other religious holidays. Fasting is part of the five pillars of Islam, there is thus a religious background. Fasting is a way to learn to appreciate what you have in life, things that are easily forgotten, such as water, food and family. And yes, eating should otherwise die.

2. What happens if you get in your food / water during the day?
If a Muslim happens to forget themselves (quite common during the first week of Ramadan) and eating / drinking something you die. Food and drink are namely radioactive and toxic to all Muslims around the world during Lent. It is sad but we try to live with it. Or is it perhaps so that nothing happens at all! We might just note that we happened to eat / drink, go ahead with the fast and try to avoid it happening again. Who knows!

3. Do all fixed? Are you not hungry / thirsty?
It answers all Muslims really want to: yes, all have fixed, see the answer to question 2. The response we are forced to give over and over again: no, fasting is a choice, and there are exceptions, very logical exceptions if you think about it. Children, the sick, pregnant women, people with very demanding physical jobs and the like can not and should not be fixed. Yes, we are hungry and thirsty, but your body get used to it very quickly. Nobody should be fixed if it can not handle it.

4. But if you live in the Arctic Circle, the sun never sets? How do you do?
I wish I lived in the Arctic Circle, then I had escaped answer this hypothetical question every year. Unfortunately, I live in northern Europe, and then we Muslims again a practical and logical solution to the problem! If there are so many hours of sunshine that it is not reasonable to fasting so many hours in a day, we follow only the sun hours in Mecca or Medina! No need to starve to death! So good!

5. But you do drink beer, eat and fuck though it is Ramadan ?
Never put the question. It is totally none of your business. Muslims are not required to explain why they are fasting or not fasting for someone other than themselves. All Muslims are not fast, some fast one week, some some day, some one hour. Muslims are not a homogeneous group, and we do things differently during Ramadan.

A checklist that helps us inshaAllah to get the best return from the holy month:

1. Avoid anything that weakens your fixed so as lying, backbiting, cheating, getting angry.

2. Avoid looking at what Allah has forbidden.

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:

3. Do not sit and listen to a person Knife others then you get the same sins as the knife.

Ramadan i princip faller i den nionde månvarv och inleder med den nya månen observationen och slutar med iakttagelsen av nästa månads månen. Denna fastande period kommer att vara olika för varje område, beroende på deras respektive timings. Fastan är en av de fem pelarna i Islam och är bindande (Farz) för varje Muslim från 12 år. Skyldigheten för fasta omnämns i denna koraniska vers;

“O ni som tror! Fastan har förskrivits till dig som det har förskrivits till dem innan du, att du kan uppnå Taqwa [gudsmedvetande]. "– Det Koranen, Al-Baqarah: 183

Fastan är väsentliga för alla friska människor och vissa undantag tillåts för människor som faller i någon av kategorierna nedan;

And a name of few random countries visitors checking currently include; Brazil, Ghana, Ireland, Spain, Russia, and Turkey.

Ramadán básicamente cae en el noveno mes lunar e inicia con el avistamiento de la luna nueva y termina con el avistamiento de la luna del mes siguiente. Este período de ayuno será diferente para cada área, dependiendo de sus respectivos tiempos. Ayunar es uno de los cinco pilares del Islam y es vinculante (Farz) para todos los musulmanes de la edad de 12 años. La obligación para que el ayuno se menciona en este versículo coránico;

“¡ Oh ustedes que creen! El ayuno se prescribe para usted, ya que fue prescrito para aquellos antes que usted, que puede lograr taqwa [conciencia de Dios]. "– el Corán, al-Baqarah: 183"

El ayuno es esencial para todas las personas saludables y se permiten algunas excepciones para las personas que caen en cualquiera de las categorías siguientes;
