The Prophet (sas) said:
"Whoever does not forsake falsehood in discourse and action, then Allah the Almighty does not need him to stop eating and drinking."
Also he said:
"To fast is not to abstain merely from eating and drinking, but rather to abstain from ignorant and indecent speech." So if anyone abuses or behaves ignorantly with you, then say: I am fasting, I am fasting. "
These stories point to the importance of sincerity and good manners. Thus, this blessed month not only teaches us to abstain from food and drink, but also to refrain from such statements and actions that may cause harm to people and violate their rights, because the Messenger ( sas) said in describing the true Mu'min : "A Muslim is one of whom other Muslims are sure of his tongue and his hand." So it is in us as individuals, to examine the limitations in our character, and to seek methods to model it better, modeled on the character of the last of the Prophets, Mohammad (sas) I am a guarantor of an abode in the skirts of Paradise for anyone who leaves the discussion, even when it is in his right; And a house in the center of Paradise for all who forsake falsehood, even when speaking in jest; And a house in the highest part of Paradise for which he makes good his character. Thus, by fleeing from oppression, immodesty, hatred overcoming slander, slander, and other types of falsehood, we can save ourselves from seeing the benefits of our fasting nullified. As the Prophet said: "It may be that a person receives nothing of his fast, except hunger and thirst." I am a guarantor of an abode in the skirts of Paradise for anyone who leaves the discussion, even when it is in his right; And a house in the center of Paradise for all who forsake falsehood, even when speaking in jest; And a house in the highest part of Paradise for which he makes good his character.
